About [ b ]

This is where I am supposed to tiptoe the fine line of trying to convince you of what an amazingly talented photographer I am, without making it sound like I am bragging too much.

Instead, I'll just let you know that 2016 will be my 20th year as a wedding photographer and I still cannot believe I get to do this for a living.

I've been fortunate enough to travel the globe shooting some pretty awesome weddings for some even more awesome couples.

Even though I have photographed hundreds and hundreds of weddings over the course of my career, I am always looking forward to the next one... YOUR WEDDING!

Who you trust to be your photographer is one of the most important vendor decisions you have to make.

I really appreciate you taking the time to to check out my website and I'd love the chance to chat with you about your wedding plans.

Some random facts about me:

  • Bacon is my love language. Some people have called me a bacon connoisseur, but I prefer to think of myself as more of an aficionado. I'm not sure what the difference is between those big fancy words... I just know I love bacon and you will never find "leftover bacon" at my house. It doesn't exist.
  • I may have a slight Diet Dr. Pepper addiction.
  • I love helping other photographers. I've been a speaker at major photography conventions and regularly travel all over the world to teach and inspire other photographers.
  • I love quality television... ya know... shows with a script and a plot. I don't watch any reality TV but I catch just about everything on HBO, Showtime and Netflix Originals.
  • I am a huge fan of the Los Angeles Angels and the Dallas Cowboys. Please don't hold that against me.

The day my daughter was born was the proudest day of my life. I couldn't believe how fast I fell head over heels for my Audrey and how quickly she had me wrapped around her little finger.

I look forward to Burning Man every year. If you don't know what it is... it’s hard to explain but think extreme camping meets a crazy party in the middle of BFE. I love the creative energy, the free spirits & the overall vibe. The photo ops are one of a kind as well!

I'll never forget that time I met and got to photograph President Reagan. My grandma was so proud!

I love to travel and take photos of landscapes and every day life. This image was taken in India along the Ganges river in Varanasi just before sunrise. What a great trip! Thailand is next up on my wish list.

Before I had my own daughter, I tried to be super uncle to my sister’s kids Caden & Addison. They are the coolest kids ever. Cade is like my mini me and Addy is just precious. I love them both so much!

My family, Fall 2015. These girls are my world!

This was my first business card given to me as a high school graduation gift back in ‘91. After taking a few photo classes, then doing the school newspaper and yearbook, I was hooked on photography and it’s been in my blood ever since.

I'm a huge U2 fan and I've been to over 30 of their concerts. I was able to photograph them back in '97 during the Popmart tour.

I moonlight as a wannabe semi professional poker player. I’ve played on the WSOP Main Event twice, but even if I win the multi-million dollar first prize some day, I will still be a wedding photographer.

Audrey is such a happy baby, she brings so much joy to our lives.

Back in 2008, my [ b ] logo turned 10 years old and my graphic designer painted this to celebrate a decade of the brand. I’m quite proud of what it stands for and I am so thankful to the hundreds of couples who have trusted me to document their days.

I shot a wedding at the Vatican once. We went to Midnight Mass and I got this cool shot of Pope John Paul II from just a few feet away.

A few years ago, I was pushing 300 pounds. I was super unhealthy and unhappy. I made some major changes and have dropped 85 pounds and counting. I live a #LCHF lifestyle (low carb, high fat) and I try to stay active. I feel amazing and I'm getting stronger every day. I've got a daughter now and I need to be around to walk her down the aisle one day (when she's like 35).

I'd love to to talk to you about your plans and show you in person (or via FaceTime/Skype) why you can trust me with your memories.
