Agitate the Problem

What problem is your client facing?

  • Remind them of the problem (appeal to their emotions): It must suck not having any money
  • Use bullet points
  • Make the copy scannable
  • Don't write long paragraphs because no one has time to read that shit

 

Put your one liner here

One liner: Problem, Your solution, the result they get from working with you.

Problem = Red, Solution = Blue, Result = Green

  • Notice the navigation that is typically at the top of the page, is way down at the bottom
  • Don't give people too many choices or confuse them in any way
  • The goal of your website isn't to make sales. It's to get prospects to opt into your email list
  • If they won't trust you with their email address, they likely won't trust you with their credit card number
  • Trade the email address for a piece of valuable content. No one wants to sign up for another newsletter
  • After they opt in... follow up with more valuable content (opt into my list to see how I do it)
  • After you've delivered a bunch of value, make an offer for a free discovery call.
  • If the call goes well and it seems like a good fit, let them know how they can work with you
